WHAT IS POLYURETHANE?
Polyurethane (PU) is one of the most adaptable materials in modern industry. Engineered through a precise reaction of polyols and isocyanates, it can be formulated as rigid foam, flexible foam, elastomer, coating, adhesive, or sealant — each tuned to exact performance requirements.
It resists abrasion. It handles impact. It insulates against heat and cold. It bonds, seals, and protects. And it does all of this while remaining lightweight.
That’s why PU is found in the insulation panels of cold storage facilities, the seat foam of every car on the road, the soles of shoes, and the structural adhesives holding engineered wood together.
